Overview
About Sling & Stone
Sling & Stone is a PR and communications agency founded in Sydney in 2010 to serve the startup and tech scene, now part of the VCCP network. It runs media relations, brand building, creator marketing and executive voice programs for venture-backed companies, consumer challengers and global brands entering Australia and New Zealand.
Sling & Stone began life in September 2010 as Click PR, a Sydney startup set up by Vuki Vujasinovic when he was 24 and saw that large agencies were ignoring Australia’s young tech scene. Kogan was its founding client. The business rebranded to Sling & Stone after about four years and grew into a multi-office PR and communications group. In September 2021 it was bought by VCCP Business, the B2B arm of the VCCP network, at which point it had around 70 staff across Sydney, Auckland and Los Angeles. Vujasinovic stepped down as CEO at the start of 2025 and James Hutchinson took over.
The agency’s core is earned media: launches, funding announcements, founder profiles and brand stories for companies that need to be noticed. Around that it now offers brand building, creator marketing and, since October 2025, executive voice training for LinkedIn and video run with Marty McCarthy. In June 2025 it launched a deep tech specialism aimed at science and hardware startups, citing the International Astronautical Congress 2025 and WNT Ventures as early clients.
The client mix has widened from pure tech. Trade press reported Domino’s handing its Australian and New Zealand PR to Sling & Stone in 2024, the first time that work went to an outside agency, and Moonpig picked it for brand awareness in Australia in 2025. Its site also lists Main Sequence, whose Fund 3 announcement it handled, along with Krispy Kreme, Lush, Shopify in Southeast Asia and earlier tech names such as Xero and Canva.
For buyers comparing PR agencies in Sydney, the draw is a team that understands venture-backed companies and can run a story across ANZ and the US at once. The trade-offs: it sits inside a global network rather than being independent, it has no public review profile to check, and it is a communications shop rather than a digital marketing or SEO agency.

Editor’s take
A strong pick for tech startups, VCs and challenger brands that want earned media and founder profile across ANZ and the US. Companies that mainly need performance marketing or SEO should look elsewhere.
